Dear ALL of you, it's time...not only for another update, but probably also for the info that I'll be continuing on next Friday.
Out of Germany, into Austria.
There's an incredible amount to report, as the last 2 weeks were also rich in events, beautiful in moments and beyond that very intense. Again, no overly detailed stories, but the essential ones for me, which I intend to share with you here in written form.
Why today?
The day of resurrection, for many simply Easter, a long weekend, the Passover festival, the 1st Sunday after the 1st spring full moon, I have no idea, it just worked out that way for me...LOL...
I can of course connect it, because on 05.12., so exactly 4 months ago, I "handed in" my "farewell letter" to Janine, although "deposited" is probably more accurate, since on that day, as on none of the following days until today, there was a personal encounter or reaction to the content. Yep, still makes me sad! And at the same time I'm in an elevated mood, certainly also due to the encounters that occurred (Oli the baker, Simone the musician, Robert the chef, ....).
The last weeks were physically a challenge, since I, having arrived at Heiko's place in Altlindenau, of course repeatedly went "down" to Radebeul by bike and on foot, to also manage the 280 meters of elevation on my way back. In total, this has happened 5x on foot and 8x by bike so far. From behind Coswig to Dresden main station, there was therefore enough space to the right and left of Radebeul for discoveries.
Of course I was with Heiko at the forge, or yesterday and today at Robert's, in Dresden I got new terra bands for my daily training and behind Coswig I just sat by the Elbe and watched the river, listened, ...
In between I then meet people who approach me with an openness that makes me grin. True encounters that are unparalleled in depth. Moments that seem to take place at the center of the universe. I can't think of any other description for it, although... yes, of course, but those would exceed the scope here 😜
Speaking of scope! My website/blog concept is finished and is available, including the individual pages, the design, the functionalities and what else the site has or may have, to a small team (Jork and Saman) from Neustrelitz, who are checking whether they can support me with the implementation. Initial assessment is that it could be too complex for them (different from other sites), but I have confidence in the two of them.
On the subject of Frankie: Yes, I contacted all the mechanic recommendations, even visited 3 personally and yet didn't achieve completion. Everyone could imagine tackling the issue, but no one had the time for it. The stories were always the same in each case and not particularly original either, which is why I don't intend to mention them specifically 🤣
What is worth mentioning is Heiko's commitment, whose knowledge of the gas pressure damper issue means that this problem will probably be crossed off my/Frankie's list next week ..YEAH.. Many thanks at this point @Heiko 🙏
Now it's just about securing the 3 canisters on top of the roof, getting the windshield washer nozzles to "work" and then we're continuing on Friday afternoon. Destination: St. Veit in Carinthia! I'm excited!!!
Since the route from here is no joke (656km, completely through the mountains) I will of course split it up: (https://maps.app.goo.gl/zK9rESwixJagZHr5A) Pilsen could be the stop on Friday, Klaus an der Pyhrnbahn perhaps the destination for Saturday and on Sunday then St. Veit an der Glan, where I intend to stay for a while before heading via Serbia to Poreč, Croatia. Whether I'll include Ljubljana and go celebrate a bit, I don't know yet...GRIN...In any case, I'm looking forward to the next stage destinations and the journey there. At this point, I'll stop for now on my end, since I can't decide what other nice things I want to share with you.
So let's talk on the phone if you're interested in the stories 😂 I'm now going to set up my wonderful sleeping area again (everything outside in the sun, in the wind, aired out and smells like spring), to prepare a small meal (yes, I brought something along from Robert's...YEAH...), since after that I'm going to the "Friesenhof" to experience a proper Easter bonfire.
