Well, what can I say....write...another week has passed and yeah…

Well, what can I say....write...another week is done and yes, I'm no longer in D.!
Radebeul was lovely and showed its calm and beautiful side. The grand finale was then at Robert's, with Heiko, Kerstin, Olaf, Claudia (?), the kids, Robert and eventually Steffen...oh wait, on Friday Uta had still made it, yeah...
And then? Off via Dresden into Czechia and that with snow and weather that seemed to be trying to prevent me from getting away "quickly"...LAUGH...with Frankie, of course!

Finally I arrived in the mountain landscape where this wonderful natural reservoir sits at 380m altitude. No space by the water, the pitches still closed, ghastly weather and BOOM Frankie and I were standing at a little bistro that was more like a private card pub and got to know not only the landlord but also his guests. 2 beers later I was sitting in Filip's new wooden house (log cabin) and met his kids. Said goodbye after 30min, but not without having to promise to be back in an hour for an evening together. Which I was, with sparkling wine (thanks Ronsen) and in good spirits, despite the weather, despite saying goodbye, despite, despite, ...real new world and it's happening again!!!

What a great family, he not a word of German or English, me no Czech…worked anyway ;-) And then the kids started interpreting, how we laughed! The daughter is 18, goes to grammar school and is wearing a hoodie that says: "FUTURE MILF", exactly my sense of humour ;-) Ah I've collected stories, moments, situations again that I hope I'll never forget.

And BOOM I'm not only traveling in good spirits, but also full of gratitude.

I slept great and the morning began in grey, fog with visibility under 50m! I was snorting with LAUGHTER, because Filip wanted to visit one of the most beautiful spots at this mountain lake with me, his wolfdog and the kids, to show me the incredible view! YEPP, I went, got a delicious coffee from a hand grinder, we "chatted", eventually his son and daughter came and off we went. Over beaten paths, other people's properties, uphill, downhill, through a small settlement of dachas that seemed to be clinging to the mountainside. Filip kept telling stories, which either his son or his daughter translated. And then we arrived at the "point of view"...LAUGH...shrouded in fog! And he and his kids told me with such enthusiasm what you can see when there's no fog! And so I had all times of day…from sunrise to sunset before my mind's eye. Yes, perspectives …

2 hours later, different mountains, sunshine and those magnificent moments when the haze is licked away by the sun. Indescribably beautiful!

Villages, towns, lakes, farms, forests, mountains and a UFO, it was all there, bathed in light ;-)
Well and then the spot here….Duuuude…I'll just let the pictures speak. Gonna head out, sunset is coming! If the text breaks apart again when copying into Telegram, I might tinker with it tomorrow!

Impressions from the road...

Journey through the snow to Czechia, the picture with the wolfdog at THE spot at the reservoir and from the evening before the two views of that very reservoir...

Ok, the "UFO" on the road is standing on a stand 😂 everyone who's seen MIB knows it 😜

Well if I'm in the mood to write, ...LAUGH..., then I'm writing my book....GRIN...still, it was incredible what beautiful things I experienced today, basically at the end of my FIRST day leaving my "homeland"...and yes, it still feels right 🤷‍♂️ so I'm letting you share in my beautiful moments and the others are exclusively private, because you're here to be entertained 🤣

Yup, yes, I was in the water after training, in this toooootally clear mountain lake and yes, it really was maximum 5°C, as announced by the site warden, even if the 11°C in the sun couldn't really "heal" that outside, since the easterly wind here still has quite wintry little teeth.

It was enough for Frankie, she was standing full blast in the sun and after immersing in the lake it was nice and warm in my "living room".

And now, after I walked past my "camp" twice (no idea how that could happen 🤪🙄...🥳...oh right, farewell schnapps with the two owners🤓...joint on the way...oh wait, after dinner too 😎...half a litre of white wine with dinner...), the heating is running nicely here too, since it'll be chilly tonight 🥶 The last 4 pictures were taken when I finally found Frankie again!

And because I know I'll fall asleep when I'm in bed, I have to stay awake sooo long until Frankie is at 18°...we're at 16.2°...so this is going to be fun....

Up to picture 38, if I haven't miscounted, I was along the shore of the mountain lake and could enjoy pure nature, since there wasn't a person crossing my path. Then it got really too cold and I headed off to the restaurant...and first had to break out of a private property...👻... you couldn't make this up.

Took a while until I found the entrance...LAUGH..., since the door that seemed possible for that purpose, at least from my perspective, was locked and I crept around the building. Finally the owner and his wife came out of the delivery entrance and explained to me in Czech where the entrance was...GRIN... Whatever, across the courtyard, past the fenced playground and Tadaaaa, there was a staircase at the side entrance, accessible from a wind-sheltered terrace. Since I was the only guest, I also got a personal welcome from the two operators right away. Small dining room in bistro style, cool tunes, though too quiet and the restaurant actually also had the perfect spot for me with a full glass front to the lake 😍

Funnily enough, 3 more guests did come, young men who, correctly, were also rattling at the door that I thought was the entrance. But while they were about to leave in resignation, I went out and showed them the way...in mumbled English, since joint, wine and view seemed to have influenced my eloquence...GRIN...They then thought I didn't understand German and talked amongst themselves! Since they were basically sitting at the next table, I heard all the nonsense they were telling each other! When I then said goodbye in German, you should have seen their faces...! LAUGH...that was priceless!
