So after the entry into Serbia yesterday was already catastrophic and all these military installations along the way again and again, even though I took side roads, I realized that in some district town there was also a giant army area. Dude, they have so many tanks, they can't even put them in the hangar, they're standing outside under tarps. I find it weird and this whole feeling around it actually diminished the nature experience extremely. So this aggressiveness from this steroid-pumped-up little boy who somehow thought he should have me extracted through his superior. Wasn't nice, wasn't a nice feeling, definitely not. And as a result of that I'm now of course leaving quite quickly, I didn't manage it yesterday anymore. Started this morning, just did a short sports lap, to then really get on my way. Still side roads, still got lost three times. So three times took the wrong turn because the other way somehow looked better. In total I think 30-40 kilometers detour. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to pick up that funny guy. I think he also appears in some video as information already. But the videos, I have to load them over from the other one here and the internet here isn't particularly great. I have to see if I can get something else here for Bulgaria then. Don't know, I'm connected to the WiFi now at the place where I am. So at the end of all the messages comes the info of where I am then. That's a nice picture with it. The last thing I did in Serbia is this story with this display board. It's a spring in the middle of the mountain and I could stop right in the middle of the road and got fresh drinking water again, so spring water, the whole last week, the last two weeks I've been drinking. And that's good, definitely. And the last picture before the voice message, that's the Bulgarian side of the border. Because on the Serbian side, there's also briefly the info in the video, it actually is the case that they completely took me apart. Two guys and finally he's holding the little box in his hand where there's actually still something in it and he doesn't open it. And I thought to myself, life really has humor, it definitely has humor. After that, when I arrived, after I did a lap, I was received really nicely. It's a family, somehow three kids and the, I don't know if the youngest or middle one, he showed me around here, let me choose the spot, sort of with partial shade and cool and great and just nice. He himself finds this place the most beautiful. So, I'm alone here, I have a huge pool. The mother chatted with me. They're all nice, the prices are reasonable. Hollali, woodland fairy, dude. I thought I'd stay here a week. Definitely not. It's somehow 23 euros per day, night. No, that's somehow, I have to see. Exactly, now the other pictures are coming and then I'll get onto the business of rinsing off Frenkie a bit and rinsing myself off a bit and downloading the videos and uploading them to you and then I'll see if I do a little tour with you here or just take a few photos and comment on them again. Oh yeah, what I actually wanted to say, the back side of the border photographed on the Bulgarian side, because they were super nice. So, I arrived there, a woman with a smile and warm welcome to Bulgaria. Then she asked me for the papers, like really complete sentences, while those on the Serbian side only said Passport, Car Document, Driver License and I looked at them and said, yes, I have. I think they didn't find it funny, that's why it escalated a bit. Now that I'm talking about it. Oh, well, it was fun. All the nicer was the welcome then of course in Bulgaria. Really super nice. Starting with the police, they were also in the car, they also looked and asked, we asked, may we have a look inside? Do you have anything to declare? And where do you actually, how do you? So they in a nice way had the drawers shown to them and the kitchen and my bathroom and so on. Without touching anything. So they didn't grab the cans, nothing, nothing at all. They simply looked me in the eyes and told me, okay, sure, check. He has nothing. So, I don't know, here this, that's not even, so, if that's a gram or so, then that's a lot. So that's still enough for one joint today. So for into the new. Right, that was a bit more. Got it and into the O. Anyhowsen, here in Bulgaria the people are not quite as friendly as in Serbia. So the Serbian people who live in the countryside there and so on, they're all really nice and smile at you. No teeth in their mouth, smile at you. Here in Bulgaria, the first thing I saw like that comes from the, I don't know if you still call them Gypsies, I don't think so, Sinti and Roma, I don't think so either, it's somehow a different story. Eyal, you know, really black, blue-black hair, dark, dark complexion, almost going in the direction of India, Pakistan. But really European facial features. Pretty crazy. And they didn't smile at me at all. They didn't greet me. I found that a bit strange. Exactly, I've arrived here now, in this little mountain village. There are I think five houses here or so. There are hiking routes here that they've signposted and so on. There are three of them. And starting tomorrow I can get fresh eggs every day. That's pretty cool. Exactly. No, did I want to tell you something else just now? Oh yeah, I'll send you the videos. Because the tour was actually challenging again. Demanding, I would say. With lots of beautiful things, like today on the WiFi this morning already or the ones I've sent over now. So in terms of the area, Serbia simply has, so if you want mountains, lakes, so reservoirs and rivers and so on and fat forests still in their original state, you're really well served in this border area between Bosnia, although they say we're Herzegovina and Serbia, really well. Definitely, definitely. I just didn't get that out of it. So the forest was great. But overall I feel really comfortable here right now. So back to the videos. I can watch them again and comment on them myself again. I have a need to communicate, warn. No, I don't actually. I really want to let you participate. That's the idea behind it. So I actually have to force myself to sit down, look at the pictures, say, okay, come on, you're sending them over now, because I'm so full of impressions. On the other hand, that's of course a very good indicator to process these impressions by talking about them. I think that's good. It's then somehow finally also the point of the website and also of the Telegram channel here, to let you participate in it. And maybe the inhibitions at the beginning were simply still too great. It's also about my own expectations and certain things. And only with the resolution of that, so with the for me real… No, start the sentence differently, just now. Will is reality for me. If I want to communicate, then I do it. In the past we phoned, sometimes also met, now and then wrote. And it was partial. Of course always again also a bit of exchange. And for me at the moment it's like I'm overfull. I have so much through this form of seclusion and living alone for me in… I don't know if you can call that insights. No, that's nonsense, because I already had the insights. So much has been really transferred into my consciousness within these last weeks, it's incredible. And I think that now depends of course on what the scheduling of Manuel and Pepi will be. Because I'm just joining them. And depending on when that happens, today is Tuesday, if that happens on the weekend, I have a few days here. And then I can finally also continue working on the literary existence. And maybe, and I already have them in my head, a few of these short stories will emerge, which I'll then write down or have Kilian transcribe. I think if anything, that will be the last or the third case. And bam, I've lost the thread again. No, I haven't. So it's really about that. I want to let you participate. I would really like you to be able to feel, smell, taste and see what I see, smell, taste, feel as well. Because it's simply impressive. In such a direct way. Because I'm traveling through there. I'm not coming back. I'm not going there again. That makes, in relation to both the readiness to absorb and the capacity to absorb in such moments, a bit more with this consciousness to be on the road. That everything is, in quotes, to be experienced only once. That's crazy. Yes, I can of course drive back again. But it won't be exactly like at that moment. I took a route today, I drove it twice. At least always back. And actually I wanted to hold the camera stupidly and let you participate. And somehow I did that. You thought I didn't do it. Sure, logical. The detour, that led to me picking up this funny, I'll say again old codger, because he really stood there now. I thought, dude, you definitely have to pick him up. This is getting really hot here. If you now somehow, the villages here feel like they're two million kilometers apart, mountain up, mountain down. When walking you already get sick if you walk the serpentines. And with this plastic bag. And he sticks his finger out. And of course, I pick him up. And stop and some Ojakien gets upset that I'm blocking the road. I have to first clear my entire passenger seat. From spring water to juice spritzer and tea, including bowl with nuts, raisins and other things. The seat is simply full. Period. And I had to clear that first and then I had to build him holes and then the bags first brought in, the stairs rolled out and then all backwards in again after he was sitting. And there are a few pieces of information that I actually understood. So where he lives, he told me then. And how old he is. And I already mentioned his name. And I hope I misunderstood that. Or on the other hand, nonsense, rubbish. So if we're really both the same age, man am I fit. Crazy. I'm half as old. Crazy. And he sat next to me and kept patting me on the shoulder and talked and talked and pointed down to the river and up to the mountains and told, don't know, probably the whole history of his ancestors and how he ended up there. And I told my stuff. Was just funny. Then I yelled at the road and said, the lizard, it shouldn't just run across now, because I'm braking for it. Well, he wasn't buckled up, you know. So it also reacted and went back to the other side right away. And then you're driving there with Frankie, so me, and him next to me. And I didn't understand anything. It was a funny singsong. And then he pointed first at me, then at Frankie and then kicked back out again. And when we had completed such a steep incline, 20, 22 percent over 1.2 kilometers, I did like I always do with Frankie, patted the console and said, hey, you did well. And then he strokes the console and gives two thumbs up and is happy and grins at me, you know, like with one tooth, no tooth, one tooth, no tooth. And the eyes are laughing. Yes, you're laughing too, I heard it. Oh, it's you. Well, then you. Yes, it's fine. Yes. And then he really has such a tiny little house. I think the floor space, I'd say, 4 by 5 meters. And the thing has two levels. And I think the converted attic could still be the guest apartment. And he's greeted by his dog. And everything is cool. And he's happy and hugs me and talks the whole time. And grabs his heart, as if he's somehow inviting me or thanking me or somehow, don't know. Was super nice. So of course I have an idea. I got along super well with him. And drive on grinning and am grateful to have done this loop. And to have driven back the way again. Oh, it's so beautiful here. I think I'll take a quick photo before I upload the videos. Hey guys, feel hugged, embraced. I wish you a fantastic course of this afternoon. Here it's already an hour later, someone told me. Oh yeah, the phone. And I wish you one more smile. And maybe just imagine you're sitting right now exactly in the spot where I'm sitting. And see the picture that I see. You have to imagine lots of butterflies. And the clanging of the cowbells, somehow 200 meters further, like a small herd of cows. And the rustling of the pines. That's awesome. Thank you.
Well, what am I supposed to do?
I don't meet up with anyone anymore that I can tell all this to.
By the way, I'm making a Balkan Toast Hawaii now, so it's pretty funny to share about that. Definitely!
There'll be something in it for one person or another in the future.
I know, for example, that Lu won't listen to long texts and long voice messages. And you won't look at my food photos. That's funny too, definitely.
Oh, there's also a cat here, besides the fact that there's also a second dog.
Right, I'm sitting upstairs in the evening sun right now, it's already, I forgot, an hour later here.
And I'm doing well. Thanks for asking.
Have I already told the story about entering Serbia, how this, I have no idea, 25-year-old testosterone-soaked, no idea, he had upper arms like my thighs, not nicely defined but just pure mass, such a bull neck and such a, no idea, massive head, he, I looked him in the eyes and I said, okay, got it, he definitely has the frustration of being born too late!
He would have loved to have been there from '92 to '95, definitely. Fuck, man, totally insane!
You can see it in people!
And he was completely, he would have loved to have a huge machine gun somehow with grenades fluttering around him, he would have loved to shoot them of course. Such an idiot, sorry! And that's why he gave me shit, because I was flirting with his colleague and she smiled at me too!
I think that was it.
And because he's been hitting on her forever, this is where I find the story nice, he nicely bad-mouthed me!
People are funny, definitely! He couldn't stand me. Maybe I should have driven in trousers and not in my underwear, because when I turned around to get my "Driver License," I just held my ass out the window.
That's just how it is when I'm traveling with Frankie.
The idea to view it or recap it this way came to me, by the way, because I experienced it again today. And there it was, because they could speak English, he couldn't, that was the point where I said I don't understand "one-word sentences," so in response to the question, well it wasn't a question, but he said, "Passport, Driver License and Car Document!!!" and I smiled at him and said, "yes, I have" and kept smiling at him.
Well, maybe I'll do a podcast after all. I mean, the one I started with Björne, there are a few episodes of that. Some of them were pretty funny too, definitely. At least I thought so! A few others found them funny too.
Oh man, language culture, that's it. The topic of the word.
"Will is my reality," that's been haunting my head for weeks now. I'll definitely make something out of that. We'll see. And for everyone who finds this too much, you know, just keep swiping, then it's totally relaxed.
I don't see it anyway. And when the website is online, even less so.
Then hopefully the channel will be filled to the brim regularly. Just for the three, four, seven people who like to listen to a 20-minute voice message from me in the morning, somehow in the car on the way to work, and totally love it. Or in the evening, depends. And those who are stressed don't do that to themselves anyway. That's fine.
This is heading toward a fan base. "In the car with Iven." No, it's called "Frankie and I," definitely. Nothing will change about that either. Maybe there'll be some subtitles for the different sections. I need to chat with André about that. Hopefully he's feeling better and is healthy. So fully recovered and has the time and leisure.
That's delaying the project a bit now. Which isn't bad! It happens!!!
Right. I've already gotten some feedback. Looks like the meeting in Sofia will take place at the end of the week. So Thursday, Friday, Saturday. We'll see.
And then it continues from there. To Eva. With whom I'm already communicating funnily and who totally loves what I send you in German. No, of course not. Yes.
People, it's so beautiful. Quiet here. Except for that damn pool. I mean that pump that's running somehow. Or whatever. Filter. No idea. That annoys me a bit. And I think it's chlorinated water. Then I'm not going in anyway. Then I'd rather take an outdoor shower here. Still, I'm sitting in this evening sun that's unfolding such wonderful power. So pleasant. And looking at beetles that are spreading their wings. Not flying off, but just finding it nice that the sun is beating down on them again. And listening to the birds. Including myself. I'm the top bird here after all. And looking around. And meanwhile chickens are running around here amusingly. The hen just did an incredible sprint. With wings tucked and head down. I don't know if that's some kind of training they do here? Is there training like that? I heard there's a soccer World Cup. How does that stand anyway? Is there already a world champion? I think they're expanding it. It'll last at least a week. Whatever. So for all of you who watch soccer. I recently got a voice message from someone who told me she doesn't watch soccer at all. Finds it totally stupid somehow. And when I asked what she was doing that evening, she says, well, I'm going to watch soccer. Oh, that's beautiful. I'm not interested in that at all. Not at all. And I find that beautiful. Hey, have a nice evening, people. I wish you a big, fat grin on your face. Big hugs. See you later.
I don't meet up with anyone anymore that I can tell all this to.

the arrest with a gun to my head will become a short story, just like the exit...

Dessert (still allowed to be called that here) 😊

I'm photographing my food 😂
Now the pictures from along the way....
